Making a contract with us
When you place an order with us
(Victorian Fireplaces Ltd) you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send
you an email confirmation that we have received your order. Once we have
checked the price and availability of the goods, we will e-mail you to confirm
that we accept your order, (Confirmation of Order) and that a contract has been
made between us. In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer
available, or there is a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this.
Guarantee of Quality
Victorian fireplaces Ltd
guarantees all goods for 12 months from the date of delivery. We operate a full
satisfaction policy and if you are not happy with the quality of the goods
supplied, when they are delivered we will take the goods back and immediately
refund in full all monies already paid to us. Your statutory rights are not
affected.
Payments
Payments may be made online by
Visa, MasterCard or Switch card. Cheques must be paid in advance and must be
cleared before delivery, Cash on delivery payments can be arrange by prior
agreement. All retail prices include Vat at 17.5%.
How to place an order
You can place an order via our
website www.victorian-fireplace-shop.co.uk following the prompts given. If you
think that you have made an error when placing your order, please contact us
immediately using our office telephone number or email. You can also place an
order with us via our office telephone number 01522 536373. Once you have
placed an order you will be contacted via email within 24hours with details of
your order and further information. Victorian fireplaces Ltd will store your
data securely and it will not be handed on to any third
parties.
Delivery
We only deliver within the
UK mainland. Please allow up to 28
days for delivery, most goods delivered within 2 weeks. For other destinations
we can deliver to the nearest, convenient UK port. Any
further arrangements are the buyer's responsibility. Victorian fireplaces Ltd
shall not be liable for any delay in delivery beyond the supplier's
control. Please be aware a delivery charge is added to all prices. For more

lost or damaged in transit, please let us know promptly by contacting us on our
office telephone number 01522 536373. The drivers are unaccompanied;
they will not move or take away any existing goods or property for the purpose
of assembly or installation of the items. The goods will be left inside your
premises at the safest convenient location. Delivery drivers as standard will
not carry items upstairs, and all transportation of your goods to a location
upstairs is entirely carried out at the contractors risk and discretion. We
recommend that you do not book a date for installation until the item has been
delivered. Please do not sign for or accept any goods until unpacked and checked
in full. Only sign if you are satisfied with the condition of your purchase,
items which have been signed for are deemed to be in good condition.
Cancellation and Returns
A customer can cancel a contract
at any time from placing the order, until 7 working days after the day of
delivery. To do this, please email us or write to us. We will reply within 1
working day of your initial contact. After the 7 day cooling of period has
elapsed, we regret that we must make a 20% restocking charge for items
retuned.
You do not have to give any
reason for cancellation. However a brief explanation will help us to improve the
service we offer to customers in the future.
If you cancel you must return the
goods to us at your own expense. We can arrange the collection for you; however
the charge for this service is typically from £50.00. You are advised to retain
the packaging. You will find it difficult to return the items without
appropriate packaging. The goods must not have been fitted, installed or used in
any way. The goods must be unmarked and free from blemishes of any kind, and
retuned in a saleable condition.
If you fail to return the goods,
we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection. If
you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us,
and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the
reduction in value.
For your security and protection
refunds are given by the same method which the payment was made by, within 28
days. Most refunds are made next working day.
This cancellation policy
does not affect your legal rights for example, if goods are faulty or
inaccurately described.
Special
Order items A "special order" is any order
which has been personalised to your specification by altering a colour or
measurement on your instruction, or a non-stock item that has been ordered by us
from our suppliers on your behalf. If you wish to cancel an order for a special
item you will be liable for the cost incurred by Victorian fireplaces Ltd up to
the point to which you have informed us. This will be typically be the cost of
manufacture that we have been liable for and any delivery costs that have been
incurred in relation to this order.
Faulty Goods
If there is a problem with the
goods, please contact us via our office telephone number 01522 536373 or via
email at info@victorian-fireplace-shop.co.uk. We will repair or replace all
damaged or faulty goods found when unloading. This is in addition to your
manufacturers guarantee. Ownership
All goods remain the property of
Victorian fireplaces Ltd until payments are received in full.
None of the above Terms and
Conditions affects your statutory rights under English law.
